The Taunton Fire Company was established in 1947, incorporated in 1949, and has been in continuous operation since. We originally were called the Lakes Fire Company of Medford, but changed our name in 1984 to avoid confusion with Medford Lakes Fire Company.

Taunton Fire Company is also known as Burlington County Station 252. The local coverage area is the southern half of Medford Township. We also provide mutual aid coverage to the surrounding towns including Medford Lakes, Southampton Township, Tabernacle Township, Shamong Township, Evesham Township and Waterford Township in addition to responding to all structure and rescue assignments within Medford Township.

We started out in 1947 with one fire truck - a 1947 Willys Jeep that we still own, although it is no longer in service. This truck is shown in the picture above on the right hand side. Our membership consists of about fifty members including Fire Police and Junior members.

We meet every Thursday evening at 7:30 PM. We are the host station for the Medford Township Junior Firefighter Program. Feel free to stop by the station and meet us. You can access our website by clicking here.
