Medford Township Fire Division is combination fire department composed of volunteer and career firefighters. All of the career members in the Division were former volunteers in Medford. The combination of volunteer and career firefighters provide the optimal fire protection to the residents of Medford Township by providing good response times while keeping the tax burden for fire and rescue protection services low relative to other communities. The volunteers save the community an estimated $5,000,000 of tax dollars each year.

Our volunteers receive many benefits. We provide all of the equipment and training necessary to become a state certified firefighter or Fire Police Officer. All Medford Fire Division volunteers are enrolled in a Length of Service Awards Program (LOSAP), which is a pension plan where a member can become fully vested in as little as five years. There is also a tuition reimbursement program where members or their children receive a tuition credit of $600 per year for four years toward courses at a county or state college. Uniforms and Personal Protective Equipment is also provided at no cost to the members.

If you are under the age of 18, you may be eligible to join our Junior Program. Click here to find out more about this exciting program.
